Initial Crowdsourcing
Players were asked to pick any number of items from a list of 203 passed CSM issues listed as "in process" to CCP. Each ballot was worth 20 points, divided equally between the items picked, with a maximum item value of 3 (so players needed to pick at least 7 items to get full "value" for their votes).
Due to errors in the original list, some items (28,33,34,48,60,92,157,172,177) were deleted from the voting; votes for those items were ignored.
Similarly, votes for some very similar items were combined (13+133, 22+23, 45+142, 88+59, 154+40, 166+167, 203+46, 72+74). A vote for either of the items counted as a vote for the combined item.
In any case where a vote was removed or combined, the reduced number of votes in the corrected ballot resulted in an effective increase in the value of each vote, so no voting power was lost (as long as there were still at least 7 items remaining in the ballot).

Raw Results
A total of 3,458 valid ballots were collected; of these, about 300 had to be manually corrected -- the most common mistakes were mismatches between the character posting the ballot and the name listed in the ballot, typos, and failure to follow the instructions on how to cast a valid ballot.
According to the CSM's spy in CCP's forum maintenance department, 3348 unique accounts posted in the thread. This means that about 110 ballots were cast by stuffing the ballot box by reposting using an alt (voting multiple accounts was fine), an insignificant amount.

Categorized Results
In a rough attempt to get a better view of more general categories where the players want improvements, the votes were reprocessed with some groups of items gathered into general categories. A vote for any of the items in a category counted as a vote for the category, and multiple votes for similar items were discarded.
This processing is far from perfect, but it gives a rough idea of the demand for changes in particular areas of the game that have been the subject of multiple CSM proposals.
CSM Filtering
CSM Members and Alternates ALPHA12125, Dierdra Vaal, Helen Highwater, Korvin, mazzilliu, Mynxee, Sokratesz, TeaDaze, Trebor Daehdoow, and Vuk Lau then voted for items they felt were most important, and the list was re-sorted, first by number of CSM supports, and then by player ranking.
