A Drone Gathering is a Class 4 Level 1 Cosmic Anomaly occupied by Rogue Drones. It is commonly found in high and low security systems. The anomaly site itself is a small open area (with no Acceleration gate) containing various structures. When attacked, the drones will send multiple waves of reinforcements. Each group's appearance is triggered by the destruction the previous group. The names and amount of ships listed may vary slightly, but will always be Frigate, Destroyer, or Cruiser class. There appear to be two variations of this site.

Upon warping to the site, there is a message -

"Rogue Drones have found this wreckage and claimed it as their own, probably for the metals and alloys they can extract from it. They do not take kindly to your intrusion."

Bounties

The bounties on the heads of the pirates in this anomaly add up to a total of approximately 540,000 ISK, payable by CONCORD.

The Variation 2 Sentient Commander can drop Sentient Drone Navigation Computers. One dropped on 05/26/15. Not sure on the Variation 1 Commander.

Variation 1 Sentient Commander dropped Rogue Drone 43-X Nexus Chip and a Sentient Omnidirectional Tracking Enhancer on 2015-09-28.

It is uncertain whether this anomaly may escalate or where that escalation may lead.
