Keral

Keral is the son of Bethora and a member of the Ardishapur Family. When his father died, his mother pushed him to achieve bigger and better things. Keral decided to enter into a race and had Selan as his partner.

The ship they piloted did well in the race, but as it neared the finish, several systems malfunctioned and it crashed into a beacon, fatally injuring Keral and killing Selan. The ship has been fitted with several new rigs, which had been banned by the race organizers. The rigs were the cause of the malfunction. Raana blamed Bethora for Keral's cheating, saying that her overbearing ways caused him to want to win at any cost.

Despite the Amarr doctrine of Sacred Flesh forbidding the cloning of royals, Bethora had Keral cloned. Because she had to keep the process secret and circumvent normal safety procedures, the cloning was not a complete success. Keral's mind had been severely affected by his cloning and he was reduced to a psychotic state. Despite Bethora's efforts to keep the cloning a secret, it seems that at least Selan's mother, Raana, was aware of it.[1]
