The process by which modules or raw ore are reprocessed and turned into minerals. Not all items may be reprocessed, but generally 90% are able to be reprocessed.

With the variety of modules and ore in game, each has a unique amount of minerals that make it up. The only way to know what you can get out of an item, is to re-process it. To do this you must be in a station with a reprocessing plant. Click the icon, on the right side of the screen while docked, and a window will open up asking what you would like to reprocess.

You can select as few or as many items as you like to reprocess. Once you have selected the items, hit the 'reprocess' button on the bottom of that pop-up window. This will show you the exact amount of minerals you will recieve from reprocessing. At this point you can choose to reprocess the items, or hit cancel to stop the process. Bear in mind that yours skills, the base reprocessing ability of the station will affect the amount of waste that will be applied to your reprocessing. A tax based on your standing will also be applied by the station owner.

Reprocessing is a vital industry to industrialists and miners alike. Miners use it to reprocess their raw ore, and take the minerals to the market for sale. Industrialists use this to buy modules cheaply, reprocess them, and sell the minerals for profit. This is a vital facet to New Eden.
