Angel Vigil is a deadspace combat site found by Probing for exploration sites in any region that contains Angel Cartel pirates. This combat site consists of 2 different areas accessed by an Acceleration gate. The gates will permit Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers, Battlecruisers and their Tech 2 counterparts.

Faction pirate ship classes encountered within this combat site are Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, and Battlecruiser class.

Pocket 1

This area consists of sentry towers and a quantity of Angel Cartel pirates guarding a locked acceleration gate. This gate can be unlocked with the proper tag (Angel Gold Tag) or by destroying the Smuggler Commander. The Smuggler Commander will appear when the Smuggler Gate is fired upon (you do not have to destroy the gate, merely shooting at it once is sufficient).

Initial Spawn

10 x Angel Sentry Tower
3 x (Cruiser) Gistum Liquidator
3 x (Battlecruiser) Gistum Primus
1 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Smuggler Guard

Message in Local Channel after shooting Smugglers Gate.

"Gist ships have just come through the gate."

"Smuggler Commander: Must I do EVERYTHING myself around here? I'll have all you maggots thrown into the slave pens after this is over."

Additional Wave

2 x (Frigate) Gistii Impaler
3 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Tribuni
1 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Smuggler Commander (Trigger)

Message in Local Channel after destroying the Gistatis Smuggler Commander.

"The acceleration gate is now open for all to use."

Pocket 2

Warning: It is advised to destroy all of the pirates ships first as they will not cause further waves. Attacking only one of the Stasis Towers will trigger wave 1. Attacking only one of the Missile Battery's will trigger wave 2.

Initial Spawn

4 x (Destroyer) Gistior Defiler
2 x (Destroyer) Gistior Haunter
3 x (Cruiser) Gistum Phalanx
3 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Primus
2 x Angel Stasis Tower (Trigger Wave 1) (web)
2 x Angel Light Missile Battery (Trigger Wave 2)
2 x Angel Heavy Missile Battery (Trigger Wave 2)

Message in Local Channel after attacking one of the Stasis Towers.

"More Gist ships have warped in!"

Wave 1

4 x (Frigate) Arch Gistii Ruffian (Target Painting)
2 x (Cruiser) Gistum Marauder
3 x (Cruiser) Gistum Liquidator
6 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Primus

Message in Local Channel after destroying Stasis Tower.

"Pat Wead: You allowed them to destroy one of our Stasis towers, you numbskulls! Second division, get your asses in here NOW!"
Please note: Might have another possible spawn after destroying Stasis Tower. The action inside pocket was quick making it tough to keep track of all spawns.

Message in Local Channel after attacking one of the Missile Battery's.

"More Gist ships have warped in!"

Wave 2

2 x (Frigate) Arch Gistii Ambusher
2 x (Destroyer) Gistor Seizer
2 x (Destroyer) Gistor Defacer
3 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Primus
2 x (Battlecruiser) Gistatis Legionnaire

Message in Local Channel after destroying one Missile Battery.

"Pat Wead: And now you let them destroy one of our missile batteries! Inconceivable!"
Hint: There is a structure in the large Snake-shaped asteroid's called Pat's Shipyard. Shooting this structure one time will cause Pat Wead et al. to appear.

Message in Local Channel after attacking Pat's Shipyard.

"Pat Wead and his cohorts have exited the shipyard, ready for action."

Wave 3

3 x (Frigate) Wead Fighter
3 x (Battlecruiser) Wead Guardian
1 x (Cruiser Commander) Pat Wead (Escalation Trigger) (can drop faction modules, tech 2 salvage)

Escalation

Destroying the 'Pat Wead' may escalate to "The Big Blue" expedition opening this message:

"Scanning through Pat Wead´s logs reveals that this druglord was surprisingly well connected, long lists of buyers and sellers throughout the neighboring regions would make this document a dream read of any law enforcement agent in the galaxy, if only all the vital parts were not in some completely alien code. No matter how much you let your central computer chew on this stuff, you get no feedback on any names or places, except perhaps one... this seems to be a hasty entry from almost a year back, not in code. At least the coordinates do reflect a true point in space."
