Description

When your ship or pod is unable to activate its warp drive, it is considered to be Warp Scrambled. You can be scrambled by the result of hostile action or environmental factors.

Warp Scrambled by Hostile Vessels

Types of Scramblers

Typically, a ship is warp scrambled by Warp Disruptor or Warp Scrambler modules from hostile vessels. Ships can also become caught in a Warp Disruption Field such as:

Effects of Scramblers

A ship in one of the situations described above be unable to warp, provided the module or charge generating the scramble effect has a greater warp strength than the ship.

If you come under the effects of a Warp Scrambler (As opposed to a Warp Disruptor), and you have a microwarp drive fitted and active it will immediately be disabled and your speed will rapidly return to its normal level. You will not be able to reactivate your MWD until the Warp Scrambler is no longer affecting you. Afterburners are unaffected.

Environmental Warp Scrambling Effects

Some environments (e.g. Deadspace) do not allow ships to warp from within the environment to another location within it, however the ship can warp to locations outside the deadspace normally. Environmental effects can also prevent the use of microwarp drive. Afterburners are unaffected.
