Public records show that Saxon Hawke immigrated to the Federation at age 17, became a citizen and later enrolled in the Federation Navy Academy's capsuleer pilot program. After just one month in the program, however, he was discharged for reasons not specified in the public record.

Despite the discharge, Saxon has since flown in the service of the Navy, the Senate and the Supreme Court as an independent contractor. Public records show his high standings with these organizations, but he is also known to lobby actively for the creation of a separate and sovereign Intaki State.
