Talk:New Caldari (System)
The intent of this contribution was to flesh out some of the elements that are appropriate for consideration with regard to New Caldari.
I have tried to tie some of the game elements in to this submission. For example in the character creation there is, or was, the option of 'Tube-Child' for Caldari Character creation. It occurred to me that this would be an interesting story-element. Since the Caldari State is suppose to be the smallest in population wouldn't it be appropriate for the State to use some form of cloning or artificial means to increase their population?
Also since the Caldari are supposed to be evil-corporate-minions I thought that it would make sense if they used a setup like that of the large corporation-factories found in Japan or China, where the employees live in close proximity to their work. Taking an example from American History, the Pullman Village, where the company provided everything from the workplace to the home and a place to purchase goods, likely that the Caldari would employ similar methodologies so that they could squeeze the most out of the employee-citizen. Thus was born the not too original idea of the arcology (a factory/city), in my mind that would be something that would fit with the Caldari.
In-game I've wondered why the New Caldari system had so few asteroid belts, and it makes sense to assume that there would have been more at one time, and after 200 or so years that those belts would have been depleted due to the intensive mining activity of a capital system.
