Products

Please note: Pulling data from Lai Dai Corporation (NPC Corp v2 Test). The images available however are out-dated since the Crucible updates.

Lai Dai Corporation's research and development efforts have produced a multitude of products from cloning tubes to starships. Lai Dai ships traditionally balanced all-round designs, favoring a balanced mix of ship systems, making them very versatile but also less powerful when it comes to specific tactics [1]. It is worth noting that the Cerberus is a departure from this philosophy. It is speculated that due to recent friction between Caldari megacorporations, LD may be looking to strengthen Lai Dai Protection Service with the Cerberus[2]. Lai Dai's most recent design, the Golem is the result ofwinning the bid to use Duvolle Laboratories's hardpoint technology [3].

I've been mulling this one over, and I don't think we're going to add those ship lines to the lore pages. They're perfectly fine from a gameplay point of view, but they really don't add anything to the storyline of the corporation in question - they basically say what the ships can be used for, how they compare to other classes, and nothing more. (Same goes for data on settled systems, agents, etc - we're not including any of that stuff in lore). Lai Dai's lore page should be used more to add lore that pertains to the corporation itself (think things like In the Electric Museum).--CCP Abraxas 10:43, 24 February 2012 (GMT)

This may be true for the frigates, but it is not true for the Golem, Scorpion, Basilisk, and Cerberus. Some of the Golem and Scorpion information is not captured in the items description and the Basilisk and Cerberus descriptions relate the design philosophy of Lai Dai and reasons for their departure.

I understand not wanting to include the descriptions themselves, but I don't understand why a list of the ships is not related to lore. Secondly, some of these ships have lore surrounding their development and their relation to the various corporations.

As for settled systems, I think that relates directly to the lore. As an example, KK and Ishukone have settled in systems across New Eden, implying business interest everywhere. There is an entire storyline in the Caldari Cosmos constellation about how the State settles systems and who can do what there. If someone was to relate the history/the lore of a real life organization, where that organization started and has a presence defines the organization in many ways. Astrography (like Geography), History, and Politics are all intertwined. --Dex Nederland 16:12, 5 May 2012 (GMT)

If I may can make a suggestion. Ehm.... How about the Lai Dai Corporation (NPC corporation)? You/we could rework it that it looks like the Khanid Innovation (NPC corporation) page, with his own LP-Store (I know need some rework) and Agent list etc.... --Publius Valerius 17:26, 05 May 2012 (GMT)
