I just completed this escalation,27/05/2011.

The can at the end of the last stage dropped only 2 items: 1 x Coreli A-Type 1mn Microwarpdrive 1 x 50mm Reinforced steel plates.

Judging by these rewards, totally not worth the time it takes to travel and the fact that it is not solo-able in any ship. I used an Ishtar to tank and a torp-raven to dps.

2 accounts, 1.5 hours, 30 Million Isk reward.

Not worth it.

Killing the madcat

Killing the madcat must be done fast. The madcat is in an Ishkur-class hull so the DPS needs to be against a frigate-sized ship. Even with two Ishtars and maxed drone skills, I can't break the tank with drones-only. Fit some small blasters on at least a couple ships to get rid of the madcat fast.

Starting with wave 2, don't worry about killing the other ships, except the warp-scramming ones. If you can't kill the madcat in a few minutes get out. To take out the final spawn you'll need a gang with logistics ships. That last wave made short-work of my shield-tanked Ishtar.

The Blob

Part 3 and part 4 exhibits one of the most extreme challanges I've seen on PVE.

10+ battleships plus 10 webbing frigates (which are tough) and some more extremely overpowered interceptors in a highsec system (yep, so no carriers) points towards very few solutions.

I used a Tengu which was able to hold the DPS, but I chose to warp out since I felt I was gonna run out of cap before killing hostiles. My friend's sacrilege was blown to pieces in under 20 seconds.

based on this experience, the solution: (I m assuming top notch skills)

1- Tengu with 2300-ish tank which should last a good 8-10 minutes. Preferrably perma-tanked. DPS should be HAMS T2 (and T2 ammo, anti-ship and anti-frigates).

that time should allow you to

a- kill the battleships first and cut down the DPS or b- kill the webbing and scramming frigates.

Attention:

- Absolutely NO SPEED TANK ALLOWED. Tank should be based on shield boost. You will be webbed to the bone.

- T2 HAMS are a must. anti-frigates (Javelin) provide the best dps against interceptors and anti-battleships (rage) will help chop-chop through the incoming damage.

The above mentioned setup makes the thing soloable, but if you really want to take on the challenge, i suggest you bring at least one other tengu fitted like-wise so you guys switch aggro. Any other shiptype with less than 2300 tank will not cut it and will be blown to pieces.

Now. really my suggestion is just skip the damn thing. Warp out once you get escalation from part 3--> part 4, and use a frigate to loot the final can and avoid the large fleet.
