Both this article and the auto-generated email for your credit card expiring do a very poor job on explaining how to update your CC details. It would be very useful to give highly prescriptive steps, e.g.

To update your credit card details you need to do the following:

• Cancel your subscription from the account management page using the 'Game Time' menu, select 'Cancel Subscription'. Then follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.
• To add your new credit you need to add game time (don't use the 'Change subscription plan' option).
• Choose 'Game Time' > 'Add Game Time'
• Select your preferred subscription interval (1, 3, 6, 12 months).
• You will be prompted to enter your payment details.
• Note: this will charge your credit card and add the extra game immediately.
