Sex Drugs And Rock'N'Roll was created because the leader was bored, had a spare billion ISK, and was getting sick of how crappy other alliances leadership is.
Originally founded with the intent to be a pure pvp alliance by the pvp corporations that were part of Arcane Alliance (Player alliance) but quickly refocussed from pure pvp to all-round alliance after it failed to get a foothold in their chosen staging point in the system I0AB-R (System) in Syndicate mainly due to lack of commitment of some corporations.
Once the alliance was finally put into action due to leaving Arcane alliance (lack of functional leadership and knowledgeable staff) a few corporations joined Sex Drugs And Rock'N'Roll.
Furthermore, the alliance was put on hold after a number of the corporations decided to take a break from game.
In December 2009, Sex Drugs And Rock'N'Roll moved into esoteria with a goal of increasing their reach into 0.0 and growing the alliance to a new level.
