Pets

A "Pet" is an alliance that is associated with and generally subservient to a much more powerful alliance. "Pet" alliances generally hold space only at the pleasure of their master alliance, and could not hold onto it otherwise.
Alliances that rent space, or that were created to hold 0.0 space renting corporations are also considered to be "pets".
The term "Pet" is also used in a derogatory manner as an insult.
