Summary

Can we have a system of dual wreck ownership for the killer and victim’s corp/gang in empire pvp please? At the moment it is too easy for npc corp members to steal the loot from empire pvp while not becoming aggression-flagged to the victors in battle (only the loser) and this means there is generally nobody on the field to dispute the theft. Theft should come with danger and widening the flagging system to allow more participants to shoot loot thieves would allow greater opportunity for player defense of their spoils in empire fighting. Under the current game mechanics, anyone who loots from the wreck of a Player Character is FLAGGED to the original pilot.

Potential Solutions

  • The wreck looter gets FLAGGED to the original pilot ... AND everyone on the kill mail.
  • The wreck looter gets FLAGGED to the original pilot ... AND to the person who 'Layed the final blow'
  • The wreck looter gets FLAGGED to the original pilot …. AND to the original pilots GANG

NOTABLE POINTS

  • BEFORE there were wrecks ... when you killed a Player Character's ship ... there were can drops ... IF you looted from them ... you were FLAGGED.
  • IF you kill a NPC and someone loots that wreck ... They become FLAGGED to you.
  • Most thieves today are in NPC corps knowing that players have no recourse against them (ie. war dec)

We need dual wreck ownership to the killer and the victim’s corp/gang that means that looting wrecks belonging to other players is a practice that while still profitable – is now something that comes with fair risk.
