On The Rocks alliance is a medium-sized 0.0 spaceholding and space-development alliance in the Vale of the Silent region, and a guest member of Majesta Empire as part of Northern Coalition. As such, On The Rocks exist for our members. The alliance was formed because our experiences with past alliances have shown us a lack of Organization, Leadership and Fun. The alliance is run in a specific manner and it will maintain its direction and focus throughout its existence. The alliance is based on our philosophy of free maket capitalism, freedom to do as you wish and to form friends and help one another.
Foundation
ICE was founded in October 2009 by the executor corporation Sankkasen Mining Conglomerate (SKMC). Sankkasen Mining started out as a place where Eve players could join a corp with a focus of having fun, meeting people and developing friendships. Structure was a primary focus before the corp was created. ICE was the natural culmination of SKMC and incorporated its basic structure as well as its fundamental ideals.
ICE began with an Alliance Charter which clearly explains to new corporations what ICE is all about. ICE also posts an Organizational Chart, Operational guideline document, and Recruitment guidelines to further explain Alliance operations. An open, transparent system is the result so trust can be earned by joining corporations. ICE has three distinct Divisions of operation; Military, Mining and Industry. Each division is led by a director who has full autonomy over the division. The Executor and his staff maintain coordination as well as recruitment, diplomacy and audits.
A few weeks after the formation of ICE, the Alliance found a home in Vale of the Silent and was given one system to develop. ICE now controls A8A-JN, 47L-J4 & 6WW-28 in the YUT3-U Constellation. In the short time ICE has been in Vale, they have contributed greatly to the NC's fleets as well as taking over the defense of the southern entrance to Vale.
