General Info

Rigs are modules that can be fitted to your ship to modify it in order to boost it's output(e.g. to boost speed, or armor hitpoints, or to boost damage output with certain weapon types). Most Rigs also have drawbacks(e.g. an armor rig will also decrease speed and a propulsion rig will also decrease armor hitpoints).

Unlike normal modules, which are created from materials refined from asteroid ores, Rigs are created by repurposing salvaged items gathered by a salvager [1].

Rigs are permanent upgrades. Once they have been applied to a ship, they cannot be removed without destroying them, and repackaging the ship destroys the Rigs on it.
