Iaculor (Character)
The Iaculor Family
In the midst of the Gallente-Caldari War, an idealistic Intaki man named Torvan Iaculor and his wife Intera, living in the Gallente Federation, protested the war and openly endorsed the Caldari. Vindictive Gallente politicians later exiled them, and their infant daughter Anaxa, from the Federation. They chose to settle on Archura and, somewhat hardened by the experience, decided to embrace some of Caldari culture. Torvan decided to be trained by the Caldari Navy. Anaxa took well to being raised on Archur.
After a little over four years on Archur, xenophobic Caldaris kidnapped Torvan and Intera and dumped them on the Gallente-Caldari border. Anaxa, now orphaned, was resigned to living on the streets.
Torvan and Intera tried to gain access to Caldari space to rescue their daughter. After two years of trying, a relatively kind Caldari official informed them that Anaxa had just been adopted by an Archur family. But the official refused to grant them access to State territory.
With little other choice, they returned to Federation space. They tried to erase their past, though they never forgot their daughter. The political climate having changed in the six years since their exile, the Federation Navy was impressed by Torvan's military training. However, Torvan was yet ready to forgive anyone for the hardship suffered by his family. He asked the Navy for a letter of recommendation and applied for a position in CONCORD.
Two years later, Torvan was given command of the CONCORD Police Commander Inquisitor, patrolling the Reblier system. Not long later, their second daughter, Prolixus, was born. Torvan and Intera, living on the Inquisitor and now finally coming to peace with their lives, raised Prolixus with a unique Intaki mindset of aggressive serenity.
As Prolixus grew up, she had the opportunity to visit many nearby starbases, developing a passion for science from everything she saw.
After Prolixus turned 13, the Inquisitor suffered crippling damage from a Serpentis smuggler attempting to flee CONCORD interdiction. Intera was killed in the firefight. From then on, Prolixus was hardened to become a warship commander and protect the Federation from diseases like the Serpentis.
Torvan took command of the CONCORD Police Commander Trident in the Cistuvaert system while Prolixus attended the Center for Advanced Studies. She graduated from C.A.S. at the age of 18 and took postgraduate courses in starship command.
Prolixus found a niche taking assignments from Federal Intelligence against the Serpentis. Not long after, she was offered a covert assignment to infiltrate a Serpentis cell. She was undercover for three years, feeding information to Intelligence until they could bring a series of Serpentis cells down. She reemerged sick of conflict, and decided to focus back on a scientific career. But she first made an important discovery: She came across a capsuleer named Anaxa Iaculor.
After spending two years on the streets, constantly fleeing from Caldari police, Anaxa had been adopted and raised with care by her Archur family, fully immersed in their customs. Despite the typical Archur distain for ownership, her experience as an orphan ingrained her with a fierce possessiveness.
Her adoptive family having been of the Stargazer tradition, Anaxa decided to become a pilot. She enrolled in pilot basic when she turned 16. She discovered that the Archur spatial awareness (developed from immersion in Archur culture) assisted greatly in combat piloting. After a great deal of thought and discussion, she decided to enroll in a State War Academy. Her parents advised against it, given the definite possibility that the Caldari State could go to war against the Gallente, and Anaxa could find herself fighting her blood ancestry. Anaxa hoped against it, with a strong drive to discover her purpose.
Anaxa enrolled in the Kisogo VII State War Academy at age 20, graduating at age 24, then being reborn as a capsuleer. She had been freelancing for only a few weeks when she received a message from a Prolixus Iaculor simply saying, "You don't know me, but could you please tell me your parents names? Because if you are who I think you are, then I know you."
Prolixus had been told by her parents about their lost daughter. The family was finally reunited.
As their connection as sisters deepened, Anaxa expressed concerns to her sister that many of the contracts her Caldari clients issued were targeted against the Gallente. Anaxa said if war broke out, she would fight for her nation. But if she had to choose between her sister and her allegiance, she would choose her sister.

Name: Prolixus Iaculor
Allegiance: Gallente
Bloodline: Intaki
Born daughter of a ship captain of the CONCORD-class Police Commander Inquisitor, assigned to patrol the Reblier system. Though Intaki society traditionally encourages peace and cooperation, the family expressed this by encouraging it in others. Still, the genetic inclination exists, to maintain calm and quiet in everyday situations.
Had thus the opportunity to visit nearby starbases: logistics support centers, an assembly shipyard, and a station for the Nugoeihvi Corporation which was then under construction. Developed an intense scientific interest from observing these. At 13, her mother (a civilian) died when a Serpentis smuggling craft, fleeing CONCORD interdiction, launched missiles, point-blank, into the Inquisitor's fusion manifold, destroying half the ship. Though her scientific interests remained, she decided to become a warship commander and protect the Federation.
Father took command of a ship, CONCORD-class Police Commander Trident, patrolling the Cistuvaert system while she schooled at the Center for Advanced Studies.
After her graduation she attended a basic flight and command academy on the CAS station. Would have refused the charity Velator-class Frigate, were it optional. Uses her scientific expertise to assist her crew with ship operations.
