Hot dropping

Hot dropping is a transportation term for the process whereby cargo is conveyed from orbit or beyond and down to a planet's surface. It is not an exact process and can not be relied on to deliver cargo down to pinpoint locations.
Hot dropping may be necessary in cases where the destination is either inaccessible by ground personnel, too far from resupply stations, or undesirable for outsiders to approach. An example of the latter is the prison colony where Prisoner 47 found God, or something akin to Him.
