Grr (Character)
Admiral Grr is the former CEO of Epitoth Guard and Epitoth Fleetyards and long-standing Amarr loyalist. Now retired she holds the position as beneficiary for the Epitoth Trust and from time to time comes out of retirement to inspect the trusts various operations and interests.
Grr was stranded on Pator at a young age after Minmatar terrorists destroyed her freighter, killing her family. She had to learn to make do with what she had but thanks to her upbringing on a freighter she possessed the engineering skills needed to get a job for the local Republic assembly plant.
In YC105 she was recognised as a valuable asset and pure Amarrian and given safe passage back to the Empire by Lady Takumi Vetinari of the loyalist pod pilot corporation PIE Inc. Impressed with the work being done by PIE, she learned as much as possible before being sponsored by Lady Takumi for a fast track through the imperial academy.
Years later after completing her training she joined the corporation Epitoth Fleet Yards, the industrial branch of the Vigilia Valeria alliance and quickly worked up the ranks to eventually assume control of the corporation and spent a short time leading the alliance against a number of threats including the defiants, Ushra'Khan and Electus Matari before the war broke out.
The Fleetyards and its sister corporation Epitoth Guard worked tirelessly for many years under the Admirals supervision. After the war started she took the Epitoth group into the alliance CVA believing that the reclamation of Providence was far more important than the proxy war many other loyalists had been forced to join. Those loyalists who remained however were still cared for and given supplies and infrastructure by CVA thanks to the Admirals efforts.
She was rewarded for this work in YC111 and received the PIE Inc Amarr loyalist of the year award. [1]
During her time in CVA she quickly lead several key projects for the colonization of Providence, personally deploying several outposts and overseeing many others. While continuing to lead Epitoth corps she took on the role of diplomat often smoothing relations between CVA, its holders and those still fighting the war against the republic.
Sadly in January YC113 the Admiral announced her retirement after a tiring series of defeats that resulted in CVA losing control of Providence. The defeats themselves were not enough to push the Admirals resolve but rather the attititude displayed by CVA leadership. Aralis's orders to abandon Providence without a fight were one of the final straws alongside the teaming up with enemies of the Empire in order to fight the invaders. Disheartened by the lack of faith and unity within the Amarr loyalist community she ordered the Epitoth corp to stand down and disband.
Admiral Grr spent some time finding new homes for all corp members before disbanding the corp and distributing the assets amongst her most trusted directors.
Her closest ten directors were all named Epitoth I to X in part due to the odd sense of humour the Admiral possessed. The Epitoths each kept their names as a mark of respect on the Admirals retirement.
The Epitoths as an experiment tried to start an Amarrian loyalist corporation named Aerarium Militare Praetoria with a goal to support the loyalist pilots of the Empire while remaining slavery free. The experiment failed dramatically and the Admiral was forced out of retirement to intervene and salvage what she could.
All remaining assets were put into the Epitoth Trust created by the Admiral but ran by her closest directors. The trust was designed not to be the industrial powerhouse that Epitoth Fleet Yards was but rather to secure all old Epitoth assets and invest in any projects that matched the old Epitoth philosophy. It would also be there for any old Epitoth member who needed help.
Recently under supervision of Admiral Grr, the Epitoth Trust created the corporation CVA Shipyards, a joint venture between some of the Epitoth directors and a CVA combat pilot Holyraze. It's goal is simply to prepare and stock ships and services for the CVA. It is speculated that it also provides reports and Intel for the Epitoth Trust and ultimately Admiral Grr but to what end is unknown.
