Darwins Lemmings was originally created by The Marmite Collectiv and Gevlon Goblin as a joint venture to fight The Goonswarm Federation. Gevlon Goblin has since left the project but is still to this day (22. April 2014) paying Darwins Lemmings and the The Marmite Collectives wardecs against some of the CFC entities. Darwins Lemmings has no plans to engage in sov warfare with Goonswarm Federation, and has adopted the GoonSwarm policy of not caring about a fair fight or a 'green' killboard. Darwins Lemmings hopes to eventually defeat Goonswarm Federation. The Darwins Lemming ticker ".GRR." refers to "Grr Goons", a term first coined by TEST ALLIANCE PLEASE IGNORE after their defeat in the second Fountain war.
One of the main reasons Darwins Lemming dislike Goonswarm Federation is that they believe that members of GoonWaffe (The main corporation of GSF) upkeep a caste system where GoonWaffe members can reap the rewards without effort and their CFC-allies must work hard, and everyone else must suffer and lose. Lemmings demand this system to be changed and Goons having an equality based evaluation system. Another reason is that the Goonswarm Federation often attack high security residents for pure entertainment value. Goonswarm Federation are the main organizers behind events like Burn Jita with no other stated reason than hurt high security players. Darwins Lemmings want to deliver the revenge of the victims and ask support from GoonSwarms victims.
Darwins Lemmings are based in highsec, and their main activity is killing Goonswarm Federation members and allies. They often reinforce GoonSwarm POCO's in highsec and hope in the end that they will take them all or give them away to whoever wants it. Most members act alone or in small groups, catching carelessly travelling targets.
The idea of Darwins Lemmings was created by a highsec trader Gevlon Goblin on Jan 10. 2014 who put the initial money into it. Further funding is received from donations. The management is done by alts of the highsec mercenary alliance "The Marmite Collective". The Lemming executor is a Marmite director alt called "General Lemming".
Recruitment to the Darwins Lemmings is constantly open. An individual can get into the basic corporation "Darwins Lemmings Holding" if he or she has 3M SP, with no further requirements besides not awoxing. Corporations with minimal PvP background and 5 players are accepted into the alliance as well.
"The Lemmings have taken up their guns and will fight Goonswarm and their allies in the CFC alliances! No more mister nice guy. They shall fight them till all Goonies are gone. Will you stand beside them ?"
3. June - 2014, Darwins Lemmings leadership announced that they will be moving to null sec and join up with The Methodical Alliance. To make this transition the alliance is forming into two corporations, Darwins Holding Corp for people with less than 30 million skill points and the corporation The Red Barons for people with above 30 million skill points. The Methodical Alliance resides in the regions of Oasa and Perrigan Falls which is on the other side of New Eden from The Clusterfuck Coalitions space and thus how they plan to fight the CFC is unknown as they are dropping all of their wardecs.
May - 2014 - Darwins Lemmings has announced that the move to null sec failed and will be shutting its doors.
