A while ago, a pilot completed a set of COSMOS missions that related to Sleeper presence in New Eden. Among them was the best clue as to the creation of the Sleepers. This, as far as I can see, puts an end to the idea that the Sleepers are a creation of the Talocan. Below is the the story that they heard: 'Some weeks ago I was in a sleazy space bar over in Hek when I overheard a conversation between a couple of Thukkers. One of them had this really incredible story to tell about a human civilization that once lived here in Ani long before us Minmatars arrived. One day, they invented this virtual world that people could hook into and be completely immersed. They created this beautiful virtual world, where everyone was rich and happy. Before long, they were all hooked in, their bodies suspended in stasis chambers. And thus, they faded away, into this virtual world of theirs.' Agent Akraun Maertigor
1. The Sleepers were once human There are no rumours surrounding the Talocan COSMOS that I can find. If anyone wishes to look over them (They are nearly all HS) and report back that'd be excellent. |

Content | While this information has been widely available for some time, we would suggest caution in using this data as a basis for such definitive claims. Due to its source it is unreliable at best. Specifically, an overheard conversation regarding a local legend.
We would also note that your assertion that the talocan were not involved in the creation of their 'virtual world' if this is the method they used is flawed. The talocan were a human civilisation, and the legend states that a human civilisation created the sleepers. Therefore there still remains the potential for the Talocan to have been involved. This would explain why the two groups were apparently heavily intermixed within the regions of Anoikis |

Content | The Sleepers lived in that part of space, the Talocan in a seperate part. They are not the same. Can we get past this, pretty please?!
They may have merged towards their time in Anoikis, but in New Eden, they are recognised as two lines. And as to everyone who keeps nattering and blathering on about wanting '100% pure distilled unwatered unsullied truth' before they'll look at a theory, go take your perfection elsewhere. This is a historical project, which by nature means working out from pieces of information what is and isn't likely. There is very rarely the occasion where pure hard truth can be found, so we make do with what we have. We know that the Sleepers had a presence in New Eden and migrated to Anoikis. This isn't exactly new data! |

Content | We suggested that an overheard conversation regarding a local legend may not be a the best basis for making definitive statements regarding a species. This is simple scientific methodology.
The Talocan may have originated within a separate part of space, however, they, along with several other groups are known as 'ancient spacefaring races'. There remains the possibility that they encountered the race that became the sleepers and helped them create the technology that they used to become infomorphic. Ignoring such possibilities in favour of a legend is flawed science. At no point did we claim that we required '100% pure distilled ...etc... truth' as you so eloquently put it. Your suggestion that we did is unfounded. On another note, The technology required for the sleepers to have become infomorphic would require maintainence, if those maintaining the systems were Talocan it would explain the need for the sleeper race to move to Anoikis with the talocan. Otherwise there is no direct, discernable purpose behind such a migration. Should the legend be believed, once linked with their virtual world, each sleeper had everything they could ever want or need. so why would they migrate to Anoikis, a region filled with dangerous stellar phenomena and unknown threats of all kinds? our statements merely suggested that the definitive statements made by pilot Fred ( labelled 1, 2 & 3 ) may possibly be assuming too much, considering the source of the data used as a basis for them, if after further study these statements are proven correct, it is at that time that they should be stated in such a manner. |

Content | Ander Fred, I am interested in examining the Talocan archeological sites for more information. I understand that they are in the Okkelen system - is this correct? Do you have any other information that might be helpful in my exporations? |

Content | To those interested in exploring Talocan heritage sites, I have plenty of experiments that need performing in the Okkelen Constellation. Please contact me if you're up for a little bit of digging and a good deal of science. Thank you.

Content | I would caution against dismissing the local legend as nothing but story. While myths may not be grounded in factual accuracy, there is always the possibility that they contain some grain of truth that we may otherwise miss. Perhaps Ander Fred or some other member would be willing to investigate the legend?

Content | Even though the legend says the Talocan made the Slepers (and i wanna see a source on that), there's nothing saying which sleeper they made...maybe they made the drones and they turned on them due to a sleeper made virus. They needed protection, saw the drones, and took em and adapted em?
it's a good reason to study talocan tech as well, seeing as they have so many area's and stations dedicated to it |
