General information
Gentlemen's Club is a primarily English-speaking, international alliance. The focus of the alliance is PVP. All corps in the alliance are required to field a good FC, at least six dreads, and maintain a good killboard ratio (>80%).
History
Gentlemen's Club began as a coalition of pirate corps centered around the 0.0 entrance to Great Wildlands. As they grew, they began to gain recognition for their PVP prowess. In short order, they settled in Great Wildlands and began more widespread operations.
Great Wildlands (Playground)
While in Great Wildlands, the alliance began raiding the space of several large alliances nearby. With the collapse of Red Alliance, Gentlemen's Club decided to grab sovereignty in Scalding Pass.
Scalding Pass (First Home)
After taking sovereignty, the alliance entered the political fray of null sec. The alliance continues to focus on raiding party gangs, hitting targets of opportunity, to the point that they gained a level of infamy with their harassment of residents of Curse. [1]
Geminate Campaign
Near the end of 2009, Atlas diplomats invited Gentlemen's Club and Cult of War to join them in an invasion of Wildly Inappropriate space. GC and COW agreed to join the invasion and put assets in place for the war. During the course of the war, GC was involved in multiple war declarations (reaching 5 ongoing CONCORD sanctioned wars at one point) with alliances such as RZR, MM, and WI. GC pilots showed their prowess in battle, maintaining a better than 90% killboard efficiency.[2] As the war entered its second month, the coalition was met with decreasing resistance, partly due to the multiple fronts the NC were now defending.
Political Direction
Gentlemen's Club is a growing alliance allied with COW.
Alliance leader, Mya ElleTerego, defined the alliance like this:
"We strive to be efficient in everything we do. Above all else we're a pvp alliance. We tend to go where the kills are and we have quite a few powerful friends that we enjoy flying around with. We're currently living in Scalding Pass Region with sov, and working closely with our allies on some larger goals / projects. We have access also in GW. We have helped create a relatively stable environment in Great Wildlands for our allies and us, and have access to the bounties within that region. We use a form of democratic alliance leadership, and all corps have a voice." [3]
