Fricoure
Fricoure is a G3 system in Ambrye, a constellation of the Sinq Laison region. The system's name is often also used to refer to Fricoure VI, the planet whose flooding in YC105 was embraced by conspiracy theorists as the second of the seven events of the apocalypse named in Macaper's Prophecy.
Fricoure VI and the other ten planets of the system are currently excluded from capsuleer resource exploitation. While it has not been confirmed (the official CONCORD stance is that the system is restricted due to "system load"[1]), it is common knowledge in Federation government contracting circles that Fricoure's planets, including large areas of its three populated worlds, are subject to military-enforced security and resource reserve restrictions.
The restrictions and high level of planetside security are perhaps due to Fricoure's being home to Duvolle Laboratories' Federation Navy projects. Under the direction of Avagher Xarasier, then Duvolle's Chief Researcher, the corporation's personnel designed the prototypes that led to the Taranis, the Deimos, the Kronos and other specialized hulls, ships that were first manufactured and tested in the Navy assembly plant that co-orbits Fricoure VIII.
In mid-YC111, the Navy dispatched Vreau Roergette, right-hand man of Dodixie-based Saonellieu Baerse, to Fricoure[2] to assume command of operations there. It is rumored that Roergette's good rapport with Xarasier may have been in part responsible for Duvolle's muted response to Gallente Executive Order 81042. While it is generally understood that Duvolle ultimately supported Jacus Roden in his refusal to accept Foiritan's consolidation of Federation armament assets, the corporation neither made a public statement to that effect[3] nor put its Navy projects on hold.
