Escalation message - Sooth Sayer

Sooth Sayer

Initial Message

Please note: This was translated from German.

While fighting the last defenders of this hideout, you noticed three of their ships warp out and disappear from radar. Your navigational computer has had a few minutes now to mull over the data they left and has come up with a probable destination in case you want to chase them.

For more detailed information about the Escalation tree see below the following note.

Please note: Once in a while, battles in Deadspace tend to escalate due to you being able to track down the origins/destinations of enemy messages or finding compromising plans or data in ship wrecks.

These are called Escalations and normally escalate further and further, eventually sending you on a final trip to Low Security Space. These Final complexes are dangerous not only because of the NPC enemies but as well due to player pirates roaming the area and scanning your ship down but the rewards can include special pirate modules like p.e. the Pithum-C-Type Shield Hardeners or even pirate-modded POS/pirate ship Blueprints.

Note also that Escalation "Trees" might lead to a "Dead End" which would result in you getting no further escalation messages for that escalation path. This can even be achieved by shooting ships at the wrong time.

Escalation Site 1

The Escalation consists of a Deadspace Pocket with a cloud of bright, brown Dust. Therein hide Eha Hidaiki and his/her two companions, far away from the warpin beacon, who quickly warp off to an unknown direction. The entrance gate is lightly guarded by:

  • 4x Pithi Plunderer
  • 3x Pithior Anarchist

Escalation Message 2

It seems like the weird sound once in a while coming from your left dashboard is not from the navigation computer after all, at least it seems to have calculated the whereabouts of these Gurista frigates pretty accurately. Not accurately enough though, as they warp out as soon as you enter space. Luckily your instruments manage to come up with a best approximation for their next destination.

Escalation Site 2

This is pretty much the same as last time. You warp in on top of the stargate which is this time defended by:

  • 1x Dread Guristas Despoiler
  • 4x Pithi Demolisher
  • 4x Pithior Supremacist

Escalation Message 3

Once again you miss the correct warp parameters and the Gurista ships disappear right before your eyes. But it seems it is your lucky day: they leave behind trails which are hard to overlook and you quickly figure out where they are hiding.

Escalation Site 3

For a third time, a guarded Gate with:

  • 1x Dread Guristas Saboteur
  • 3x Dire Pithi Wrecker
  • 3x Pithior Guerilla
Please note: Be careful with Dire Pithis - those are Interceptors which are genrally hard to hit

But finally, you get to kill 2 of the 3 enemy frigates. The named one, Eha, is still running. Inside the pocket you will find:

  • 1x Pithi Infiltrator
  • 1x Pithi Invader

Escalation Message 4

While being able to fight the two ships you could get a hold of, the third one managed to escape again. Unfortunately this time, your systems are unable to track him down. But, after desperately searching the logs, you find a distress signal containing its position...

Escalation Site 4

This time we are in a Dust Cloud again. There is also some Veldspar around, but, most notably, there is a small fleet of Guristas waiting:

  • 1x Pithi Demolisher
  • 3x Pithior Guerilla
  • 3x Pithior Terrorist
  • 3x Pithi Destructor [Last of Group triggers next Spawn]

The next spawn being:

  • 3x Pithi Despoiler [Last of Group triggers next Spawn]

Who in turn trigger Eha Hidaiki to appear. He/She is very easy to defeat and belongs to no faction.

Please note: Possible loot: Dread Gurista ammunition, Dread Gurista Tags, Pithi C-Type Small Shield Booster, Low-grade Crystal implant

Final Message

Obviously that distress call had reached his destination - This was a fairly warm welcome. At least there will be a little less Drug couriers around after his Encounter...
