Summary

With the introduction of new technology and resources in the March Expansion, it would be nice to discuss the future of mining and ore with CCP.

At the moment there are a few problems with mining generally voiced on the forums, which could be used as guideline for discussion:

  • Mining game mechanic being extremely repetetive boring
  • No variable outcome when mining
  • Macro-miners
  • Belts in high-sec being mined out within hours
  • Tritanium being required in too large quanitities, shortage of tritanium in 0.0
  • High-end minerals not being valuable enough
  • Low-sec ore not being profitable enough (possibly due to above problem)
  • Mineral income from non-mining sources being perceived as too great


Solutions

This issue is very diverse, and instead of asking for specific solutions, a general discussion about mining, ore and minerals is requested.
