"My fellow Minmatar, ahead is a long path of suffering. We must rise against the crual Amarr who still hold our brothers and sisters enslaved. We can fight them, and reclaim those who have been slaves for so long. Current events are just the beginnings of a revolution... It is our time, and we shall seize the moment."

The Best Ship

After reading this article, I don't really see this as being in-line with the encyclopedic nature of this site. I have deleted it and quoted the content for you, should you wish to re-write it or use it elsewhere:

"EVE has over 200 ships, and this can sometimes get a little confusing. There are people who say the the rifter is the best, and there are people that say the rifter is worst, to give one example. This is somewhat a guide for those who want to know how to progress in EVE and what ships to use. Of course, this is extremely contriversial, so feel free to discuss it openly. Im open to ideas...

The fighter

Congratulions! You're a fighter! Now, as a combatant, you have so many ships to choose from, and as you get on, you spend more and more time in the ships you choose, so i suggest that you choose carefully. As an example, ill use minmatar ships for this, and i am going to stay at tech I, because regaradless of what people say, a tech II frigate cannot escape the wrath of a destroyer. Logical procession should go something like this:

Reaper (noobship) No. Dont even talk.

Slasher (frigate) A versatile, speedy little thing, the slasher is good for running the easy level one missions, but lacks the power to take down pirates or PvP, so stick to the tutorial here people. If i see you in a slasher in lowsec, i will splatter you all over an asteroid. Seriously. Dont be stupid.

Rifter OR Breacher (frigate) The rifter is like a destroyer, for small cost, and can be fitted for high DPS. If you really want to spend a long time training for things and cant afford a destroyer, use a rifter. The breacher is nowhere near as powerful, but is good for those planning on long range combat with missiles. It makes a great PvE ship, and can do harder level ones than the slasher.

Thrasher (destroyer) Some people say that destroyers are just ISK sinks, and never do anything. I fit my destroyer up with this: 7x 200mm autocannons 1x Malkuth missile launcher 1x stasis webifier 2x small armor repairers 1x small hull repairer and got out approximately 300,000 ISK per hour of pure pwnage. Excellent for everything from pirate hunting to mining, and a great platform to experiment with tanks and get ready for cruisers.

Cruiser As we get on, we have more choices, and cruisers have something for everyone. Personally, i chose the Bellicose, because it was a a good long range ship, and i would warp away from pirates and kill them with missiles and artillery fire, while keeping them at range with my stasis webifier and 10MN afterburner. The stabber is a fast little thing, usually using autocannons instead of artillery. Even though the Scythe is tempting becuase it's a cruiser and cheap, its a mining ship. I know, cruisers are warships, but just listen to me. It fits a fraction of what the other do for only a little bit less money and skills. And the rupture, last but not least, is a heavy hitting juggernaut, but is extremely slow, so it makes a good artillery platform for PvE but you must make sure you dont let them in close, or your artillery wont be able to track fast enough.

Battlecruiser The body of most fleets, battlecruisers are heavy hitting, speedy, armored beasts that are cheaper then battleships. Usually people spend alot of time in these ships, so choose wisely (I.E. Hurricane- ridiculously expensive but the most powerful battlecruiser).

Battleship Booyeah! The epitome of combat above 0.0 space, battleships are powerful and can fit almost anything. Battleship mining is stupid, because you waste a perfectly good warship for a little more power than an exhumer, for only a little bit more protection. Plus, it doesnt even come close to the yield of even the little mining barge... the... erm...

Dreadnought Powerful, the first capital ship that many fly, dreadnoughts are 0.0 only killing machines, and are mainly used for fleet support and seige. If you want to command a fleet or take out a titan, use dreadnoughts. If you want to do anything above 0.0 space, use a battleship that you trick out.

Titans The most powerful ships in EVE, these multi- billion monsters fit doomsday weapons that can kill entire fleets. Godlike beasts, in conclusion.

The best ships

Frigate 1.) Rifter- because it fits so much for so little 2.) Kestrel- because it fits so many launchers 3.) Tristain- because its versatile

Destroyer 1.) Thrasher- because its fast and powerful 2.) Catalyst- because it can deal so much damage 3.) Cormorant- because it looks great and is a great rail platform

Cruiser 1.) Thorax- because it looks cool and is a fast blaster platform 2.) Caracal- because it pumps out missiles like theres no tomorrow 3.) Arbitrator- because its an insanely great drone ship

Battlecruiser 1.) Hurricane- becauase by the time you've finished reading this you've been shot to little pieces floating in ionized gas 2.) Brutix- an unstopple blaster platform 3.) Ferox- for a great missile/ turret fit

Battleship 1.) Megathron- high DPS, hard tank, fast, great looking. All you ever need. 2.) Maelstrom- super powerful and sleek, with an insane tank. 3.) Abbadon- versatile, yet provide great DPS at any range, but since all the capacitor goes to the guns, you either need a few super powerful active tank modules with lots of boosters, or a passive tank (gasp!)"
