Talk:Caldari Prime
Still to be added - "the War" and "Modern Caldari Prime". Once those are done, the "stub" tag can be taken off. I also plan on including a table with some planetary data and a screenshot of the planet and titan -Stitcher 13:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, done most of that now. I'm putting together a "planetary data" template, and then I'm leaving this alone. -Stitcher 01:53, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Please leave american or uk english spelling since both are accepted on this wiki or just chose one spelling thks. ISD BH Pirlouit 21:02, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- May as well be consistent on the page at least. Seemed mostly american spelling, so, the rest of the article was brought in-line with that for improved readability. Not to mention the glaring spelling errors. Daquaris 16:46, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- Owch. Don't tiptoe around, mate, say what you really think ^_^. Stitcher 21:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Can we get a naming convention change perhaps? Caldari Prime (Planet) ? It is more important for other planets that may have future entries. --Dex Nederland 00:35, 13 June 2009 (GMT)
Outdated information, nowdays caldari prime is temperate planet, not cold. --Ravenmorte 19:41, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
@Ravenmorte: The term temperate planet includes a pretty large temperature range. Caldari Prime is considered cold when compared with Earth or Gallente Prime (Gallente Prime is closer to the shared star). Since PI's introduction, Temperate would include any world upon which large mammal life can be outside without a full EVA suit (not excluding something like Scuba Gear or lots of layers). A world that is like Northern Russia in temperate variation is still "cold," it just isn't an ice planet. A world that is largely like Brazil in temperate variation is warm, it just isn't a lava planet.--Dex Nederland 20:12, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Today Seri made two adjustments.
I responded to these edits with an adjustment and a re-version.
1. The first was retitling the section entitled "Gallente Occupation" to "Federation Rule." I retitled the section "Gallente Settlement." While "Gallente Occupation" carries with it a negative connotation and is arguably bias, "Federation Rule" ignores the presented material that prior to the war the Caldari were part of the Federation and thus Caldari Prime was under Federation rule then as well. "Gallente Settlement" describes the time period as one in which the Gallente began to settle on Caldari Prime and supplant the Caldari.
2. The second was adjusting the population demographics from saying 'Gallente & Caldari in equal parts' to 'majority Gallente.' I reverted this to the previous entry due to lack of presented evidence for the change. Provided Prime Fiction source (books, chronicle, edit from Ginger/Dropbear/CCP), I have no issue with the change. --Dex Nederland 04:07, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Hey, yeah, just copying what I posted here (http://backstage.eve-inspiracy.com/index.php?topic=664.msg7131#msg7131). The reference to population can be found at this location (http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=2219&tid=5) Seriphyn Inhonores 00:06, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
