Northern Coalition (Player coalition)
The Northern Coalition (NC) is a coalition of alliances living in Northern 0.0 space. The goal of the alliance is to promote peace in the North and to afford its members mutual protection from external aggression.
The Northern Coalition is not particularly aggressive, as it does not generally seek to capture territory outside the North. Its member alliances do not operate together on a day to day basis. The major members independently occupy and operate their own space, with guest alliances operating in their space under a variety of agreements.
Standings
The Northern Coalition's political stance has been historically hostile towards the Greater BoB Community (GBC), a highly aggressive coalition lead by the Band of Brothers alliance (BOB). On many occasions, BOB has attacked the North, at times capturing large areas of the space currently occupied by the Northern Coalition. In 2007, the Northern Coalition became involved in the Great War. It joined with most of the other 0.0 residents to form the Coalition an attempt to remove BOB from 0.0. The Coalition drove the GBC back to their main region of Delve where the GBC fought back tenaciously. The resolve of the Coalition faltered, and the war ended with BOB remaining in 0.0 space.
The Northern Coalition's standings towards Red Swarm Federation have traditionally varied between non aggression and allied status. In recent times, RSF members Tau Ceti Federation and affiliates KIA Alliance have been involved in operations versus Triumvirate., as well as Band Of Brothers during the MAX Campaign. TCF recently left RSF and became a Northern Coalition member by moving to Deklein, adding another major alliance to this coalition.
Coalition Members
The coalition has little formal structure but the primary land holding member alliances as of January 2009 are generally considered to be:

- Majesta Empire
- Morsus Mihi
- Mostly Harmless
- RAZOR Alliance
- Stella Polaris.
- Tau Ceti Federation
- The Initiative.
- Wildly Inappropriate.
In addition to this, the Northern Coalition consists of a number of 'Guest' alliances who's role and status varies greatly from old friends to renters to full members in waiting. Each Guest is the responsibility of a full member.
