Role play chat channels
Roleplay (RP) in EVE Online takes a myriad of forms: posting on the official forums in the Intergalactic Summit section; joining a RP corporation or alliance; or being active any number of player-run channels designated for RP; most players who engage in RP participate in a mix of all of these.
This page aims to document the most active, and publicly accessible of those channels. It is by no means an exhaustive list of all the channels in EVE used for RP.

Intergalactic Summit
Intergalactic Summit is a chat channel counterpart to the Intergalactic Summit Portal. This is the channel, where dev live event actors are stationed when present in game. Owned and operated by CCP.
The Summit
The Summit is arguably the most popular and frequented roleplay channel. It regularly hosts a wide variety of personalities, drawn from across many of the organizations in New Eden. Conversation varies from day to day, and as it is basically something of a mirror of the Forum-based roleplay channel the Intergalactic Summit, there is often various topics being discussed. Run partly in conjunction with the organizers of The Chatsubo ( http://eve-chatsubo.com ), a popular OOC forum for a part of the RP community. )

This is a CCP owned and operated channel for out of character discussion relating to Live Events and Roleplay in EVE and DUST.
Amarr

The Good Word
The Good Word is a channel for those interested to learn about the Amarr, the Empire and its culture. It's goal is to further international understanding in the spirit of the Pax Amarria. All discussion on that topic is encouraged as long as it stays civil and largely friendly. While generally open to the larger public, any behaviour that breaks the bounds of civility and good mores (esp. endorsement or advertisement of heretic ideas and practices) or is disrupting reasoned dialogue will not be tolerated.
The Holy Grape
A popular and refined restaurant and bar located on the Emperor Family station in the Amarr system.
Imperial Congregation
This channel is meant for those among the faithful to converse free of interjection by those outside of the faith, allowing for deeper conversation and topics pertaining to theology and doctrine. This channel is closed to all except those loyal to the Amarr Empire, the Khanid Kingdom, the Ammatar Mandate, and the Amarr faith.

This channel is an OOC chat channel for anyone interested in or a part of Amarrian RP. Note: "Interested in" in the above statement means that people who do *not* play Amarrian characters are welcome in this channel. IC prejudice should stay in IC channels.) Keep it civil.
