Marcus Griffin (Character)

Background

Marcus the eldest of 4 siblings, in order of birth Marcus, Caira, Kira and Jack. What Marcus knows of his parents is this, their father(Enduras[Detitus]) was an employee of the Kaalakiota Corporations Home Guard when he was young but shortly after their mother gave birth to Caira he was injured in police action on New Caldari Prime. He later became a MTAC operator for Caldari Constructions in Piak. About 8 months later Kira was born, soon followed by Jack. As far as Marcus are aware his mother(Kara[Achura]) never worked and as such she was not considered very highly in Caldari Society. His father died in YC 114 (while Marcus was 9), from injuries suffered on New Caldari Prime and his mother became the benefactor of a large payout from both the State and Kaalakiota, not a singe ISK was spent on Kara instead she used it to send all four children away.... permanently. The girls were sent to learn the sciences and business skills at an institute in the Suroken system, Caira hated it and left to start up her own corporation (one Marcus would later join) but Kira quite enjoyed the academy and followed a career in mining, she is currently a senior director sitting at the helm of an Orca class command ship. Both Jack and Marcus were sent to State school which is free and mandatory for all who are not privileged enough to be sent to an academy. So where did their share of their parents ISK go you ask? It was given back to Kaalakiota in exchange for both to become capsuleers. All through the State schooling Jack stuck to Marcus and as a result became very close. Interestingly though they both studied completely different subjects, where Marcus studied starship command and engineering, Jack studied industry and science (in particular laser physics). Jack stayed on and studied further for after Marcus left only really joining him in YC 112.
