Project Codebreaker

Project Codebreaker is a minor project within the greater Arek'Jaalan collective scientific endeavour. It is of primary interest to persons studying artifacts belonging to the ancient starfaring cutlures.

Introduction:

There are several ancient starfaring cultures within New Eden, some of which have left artifacts that have applications within current capsuleer technologies. Understanding of these artifacts is however, very low, and many of the original functions of the devices can only be speculated at. This project seeks to increase understanding of these artifacts and devices.

Aims:

To increase understanding of the ancient devices. To identify more applications where the devices could be used. To look for similarities between cultures.

Existing Knowledge:

Several ancient culture devices are utilised in existing experimental modules, such as the "Greaves" medium armour repairer module, that uses Takmahl devices in its construction. Blueprints of these devices exist, and can be examined.

Methodology:

Examples of the ancient culture influenced technologies are constructed, and their performance assessed. The materials used to construct them are examined, in an attempt to understand how the devices and materials function.

Data analysis:

A spreadsheet of the materials used and the performance of the modules can be constructed, patterns may be observed that can then be used to determine some of the functions of the ancient devices.

Time frame:

Several days to construct the relevant devices and assess their performance against known technologies.

Resource and Personnel requirements:

Blueprints and artifacts belonging to all of the relevant ancient cultures. Personnel capable of building and analysing performance of the devices.
