- A slot on ships in which only a specific type of module can be placed. Usually refers to slots for weapons, such as turret hardpoints or launcher hardpoints.

- Hull tanking
- The ill-advised practice of using a ship's hull as the principle damage sink in PvP or PvE instead of shields or armor.
