Do we have info on "Forlorn" and "Hidden" versions of the listed CAs? eg "Sansha Forlorn Hub" I don't know if they only cropped up with Dominion or not. --Migone 14:33, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey..just wanted to say this page says that top third spawn in null sec...well I am in nice true sec in Deklein and we get frequent multiple spawn of horrible Gurista Yard.

cheers.

Classes

http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1277028

According to that, there are four classes in addition to the levels:

  • Unnamed
  • Hidden
  • Forlorn
  • Forsaken

Classification and Differentiation

I'll first clarify by saying that nothing I say is official in any manner, I'm simply attempting to improve the site, its content and usability.

For those creating individual pages for each Cosmic Anomaly, to my knowledge, there are no official levels or ratings designations for any cosmic anomalies outside of their names. For those contributing to Cosmic Anomaly articles, might I suggest that numeric values only be utilised for reference and not as some official designation. Also, since the differences between sub-typed cosmic anomalies can sometimes be greater than the name might connote, might I suggest specifically indicating this difference.

There are at most 240 different Cosmic Anomalies (10 different core names x 4 variants x 6 factions). It would be useful if descriptions and information concentrated less on "difficulty" and ranking and more on scope and substance.

New Template

I've gone ahead and created a new template for Cosmic Anomaly pages. It can be found here Template:Cosmic_anomaly. Available variables are type, security, pirate type, and values for the spawn rates for a Pirate Detection Array.

I'm going to take some time to edit all of the Cosmic Anomalies so that they utilise the new template.
