The First Genesis (player corporation)
TFG - The History
File:TFG emblem.jpg The history of our corporation dates back to March the 2nd in 2004, when The First Genesis was founded as an anti-pirate corporation. After spending 10 months in the business as an autonomous entity, TFG became one of the founding members of "The Confederation" (CFD) in January of 2005. Numerous conflicts were fought, battles won and lost. Another 14 months later, in March 2006, the corporation left CFD and became a part of the Ghosts of Retribution, again as one of the founding member corporations.
This was the beginning of the corporation's involvement in the great theater of war which was, at that time, the south of the EVE galaxy where Red Alliance fought against the coalition of LV, -V-, CHIMP and KOS. We initially planned to side with Red Alliance in this conflict, but different problems led to GHOST joining up with the coalition and eventually to the downfall of the alliance itself in June 2006.
However, a few corporations from what was left of GHOST (TFG being one of them) then formed Myriad Alliance, which was initially based in Omist to recover from the heavy losses suffered in the preceding few months. We then moved on to the region of Immensea, which was about to be abandoned by CHIMP. After quite a successful beginning, the infamous siege of I-N, the home system of our main ally, Maelstrom Alliance, began. After heavy fighting it became clear that the opposing forces were much stronger and eventually Myriad had to retreat to empire space and soon went on to Outer Ring where the RONIN sealed the fate of the Alliance in May 2007.
TFG then decided to stay out of the alliance business for a while until we finally joined the revived Veritas Immortalis. The period TFG was in -V- marked several other conflicts against alliances part of the Southern Coalition in the region Great Wildlands as well as Pandemic Legion and Sons of Tangra in Syndicate later on. The most memorable part of the -V- age was our stay in Oasa (Drone Regions) with FIX, Smashkill and Atlas, a campaign that led to one of the largest fleet engagements of that time. The first unsuccessful first attack by the thwarted xdeathx, Solar Fleet, ED and IRC forces on Firmus Ixion held space cost the enemy 4 Motherships and more than 20 dreads in exchange for 38 of our own valient dreadnaught class capital ship. The enemy the decided to come back for a second round. A vast assortment of enemies including TCF, UNL, RA, Goons, xdeathx, Solar Fleet, ED and IRC engaged us. Clearly outnumbered and besieged on 2 fronts by superior capital and super caital forces we were forced from the drone lands territory, but not before our forces scoured the Oasa region laying waste to 1 of the hostile Goonswarm alliance's titan class super capital vessals.
During late 2008 the corp decided to join Interdiction (SPYDR), an alliance part of the Greater BoB Community (GBC). Things went very well in the beginning with a swath of killmails from the adjoining Delve & Querious regions, but tragedy struck the GBC as a wretched Goonswarm spy in the holding corp of BoB alliance booted all member corps and closed the alliance. The loss of all sovereignty by Band of Brothers lead to the growing disinterest of the corps in SPYDR to continue the fight with BoB and Interdiction alliance disbanded.
Seeking an opening into the larger war now erupting between -A-/Atlas forces and RA/xDeath in Insmother, TFG made a move to join Aggression Alliance. Aggression was a new alliance gathered together to form solid small fleet support to the -A-/Atlas side of the conflict. After annexing Immensea (a return to an old stomping ground for TFG) from the Russians of United Legion in short order, our futures looked bright with all the PvP we could ask for. In July 2009, after a very fun few months of sov taking and major fleet battles in Insmother against RA, Aggression alliance fell sudden victim to the deterioration of diplomatic relations with the now notorious leader of Atlas alliance, Bobby Atlas, and in effect the whole of the Atlas coalition power block. Just as quickly as the good times had begun they ended very abruptly in a confusing event whose causes are not fully understood today. As hapless Aggression pilots logged on with the intent of an entertaining evening of PvP they instead found anarchy of the highest degree. Atlas and -A- set Aggression alliance neutral and immediately began invading Immensea. If this were not enough, the executor corp and leadership of Aggression abandoned all responsibility for their once loyal alliance mates. Corporations began to drop alliance and with them they took our jump bridge network. The lucky few were allowed to watch as things crumbled and turned into mass hysteria, the majority had to log on and try to confirm that everything was indeed going balls up. Not only were we stranded throughout the region with the most powerful coalition besieging our critical systems and no organized alliance leadership to speak of, but all hope of evacuating our assets quickly turned grim when our own bridge network began shooting down Aggression pilots as they fled to the bridge network for a retreat of the region. Aggression alliance closed that dark and unspeakable day as TFG began the meticulous process of deciding it's new future.
It was time to reevaluate the direction of the corp, and as such we made the decision that any major sov taking entity should be excluded from our next venture. We wanted to get back to our roots in small gang PvP roaming larger hostile sovereignty. The First Genesis needed a new genesis, and a reliable source of 0.0 action. In August of 2009 TFG made the decision to rejoin Veritas Immortalis. On the heels of their eviction from Insmother by the then recovering Red Alliance, -V- also sought reliable familiar territory, and so decided to move into the NPC stations in the Curse region. After a few months of good fights and small roams with the old gang it was decided that -V- was not moving in a direction which benefited it's player base any longer. In October, with a reluctant goodbye, “DaeMon ix” decided to retire from the alliance CEO captain's chair, and with his leave it was agreed that -V- would be closed as well.
The closure of Veritas Immortalis, though it be sorely missed, was an event that greatly benefited TFG. As we parted ways with some of our old friends we also gathered a good number of them to our side, and with them a renewed purpose to TFG. In November 2009 we decided for membership in Gentlemen's Club alliance (STRPR), a solid group of pvpers carving out a piece of eve history while battling the Northern Coalition with a renewed coalition of Cult of War (-COW-) and Atlas. Our days in GC saw skirmishing in small gangs and participation in larger fleet fights with an emphasis on non-blob combat. We gave a major contribution in kills to the clearing of Geminate with GC and had a great time fighting along side the Atlas/CoW/GC coalition.
In April of 2010, the coalition launched a new campaign in partnership with the greater Southern and Eastern galactic alliances (IE. IT, the former Band of Brothers, and the alliance Against All Authorities) to take the NC head-on in a massive coordinated invasion. Due to "political irreconcilable differences" with GC's "pompus dickheaded alliance leadership", TFG chose this prewar staging period to take it's leave from GC and join up with it's partner alliance Cult of War. CoW brought us many more good fights. For 3 months the fun lasted until, in late June, the effects of a hiatus by alliance and coalition leadership took their toll on the alliance and finally forced the decision to dissolve the alliance or face irreparable disorganization.
July 4th, 2010 gave TFG independence from Cult of War and life after CoW took us back to NPC 0.0 for small fleet combat with old friends Veritas Immortalis, again, under the experienced hand of the original -V- CEO, Light Darkness. This time around Veritas was joined by a handful of corporations from the Great Wildlands region (some of the former CoW), and TFG welcomed a few more old friends from Aggressive Tenancies (one-time executor and successful pvp corp from -V-). As per tradition with our friends new and old, we took the fight back to the russians in GW and the surrounding Insmother regions. The break from sovereign space was a nice breather and morale was much improved with a return to small roaming gangs. 4 months of flying with -V- gave TFG a reunified spirit to advance corp goals and broaden our experience but a somewhat suspect move to a new base in the Curse region by alliance leadership had TFG yearning for more activity on the pew-pew frontier. In December TFG set its eyes out for a dive back into sov space with an alliance that could match our level of activity and ambition for squad based PvP.
TFG joined Brick Squad. Alliance in late 2010 and since that time has continued to gather like-minded folk to further our ongoing serach for the best PvP that Eve-O has to offer. We are currently locked in a campaign against the inhabitance of the new "fortress Delve" and we plan to kill as many super capitals as we can bubble.
TFG - The Corporation
Our corporation's primary function is PvP. Throughout our existence we have been involved in the destructive side of the game, and we have always been one of the most active and effective corporations in the alliances we have been in when it comes to PvP. The experiences we have made over the months and years we spent in alliance warfare and 0.0 has shown us the benefits that a strong industrial core can provide to a corporation. Therefore, after the downfall of Myriad Alliance, we decided to close the circle of destruction and creation to establish our own production lines in various fields. Necessary steps were taken and a lot of work went into it. Our established goal was to create a self-sustaining and totally independent entity. A goal in which we have had great strides in success. We can now say proudly that we have achieved that goal of a fully self-sufficient industrial sector.
Today, a few years later, we combine our traditional PvP abilities with the capabilities of a dedicated T2 I-RAD and capital construction section. Our capital fleet has noticed a steady grow in numbers and we are always happy to see it increase further. We have established a POS network, and posses several Orcas and a Rorqual to support our extensive mining operations required by a self-sustaining corporation like ourselves. We have also branched off into wormhole space and gained the experience of operating as a whole corp in WH space.
The future will see a carefully executed expansion of all areas to increase constructive capacities as well as destructive potential even further.
TFG - The Family
If you are interested in joining us this will be the most important part for you, because it is the most important part for us, and the very foundation of our corporation. Applicants should be aware of the fact that EVE can, and often does, present a very dynamic landscape. Things change for better or worse. We have experienced many things, and it has not always been easy. Nevertheless, we've never lost the fun in the game. Our member fluctuation is relatively low and we would like to keep it this way. This means that we are looking for people who want to stick to a familial corporation. We are mature, calm, humorous, helpful, "get it done" type people. No drama is wanted. That is the kind of personality and attitude we would like to proliferate, and it is one of the reasons why our core members have been with us for such a long time.
We have only two general rules. First, we show respect toward every member of the corporation, as well as every opponent we might come across. This means we do not smack and we take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. Second, is the involvement in our activities and may it only be in the most distinct way. Show us you care for the community that you are a part of. We will never try to force anyone to do anything. Instead, we try to pick up players who want to be part of our daily business themselves. Pick up the torch and lead.
