BOB War History

Great Northern war

Early History

In the aftermath of the Great Northern War, BOB roamed the North turning it into a wastland.

Taking Delve

Having removed any significant alliances from the North, the BOB leadership decided to move into Delve. BOB allied Firmus Ixion (FIX) who held the neighbouring region of Querious. Fountain, the region to the immediate North was held by Fountain Alliance (FA), then the most powerful alliance in o.o and staunch ally of Phoenix Alliance in the Great Northern War. BOB alongside Shinra (SNRA) destroyed Fountain Alliance and took Fountain.

Operation Clockwise

Operation Clockwise was the next secret plot devised by the BoB leadership. The leadership planed to work round the map in a clockwise direction from Delve fighting anything in the way. This including the removal of Imperium from Outer Ring and the push continued all the way back up to BKG. BOB stopped there and returned home to build thier first outpost in Delve and push forwards into the capital age.

Serpentis Corporation

Next, the Serpentis Corporation attempted to reclaim Fountain, its traditional home region. Grand Admiral Junset threatend to annihilate BOB if it did not move. However, BOB refused to accept Serpentis Corporation's claims, so Serpentis Alliance attacked BOB along with several of BOB's old enemies. BOB fought of the attacks, driving Serpentis Corporation and its allies from Fountain and Delve.

Serpentis Corporation along with G Alliance and Norad fleets attacked and reinforced an industrial pos belonging to Evolution in the A2V6-6 system in Outer Ring. In the ensuing battle, BOB defeated its enemies destroying the Nyx class mothership of Admiral Grendal and 2 Moros class dreadnoughts. With their campaign in ruins, The Serpentis Corporation executed Admiral Grendal for gross incompetence. [1][2]

Operation Lockdown

Operation Lock-Down was initiated when BOB inteligence learned of a mothership class vessel being constructed by G Alliance under the guise of an alt corporation in EC-P8R. BOB contracted Ascendant Frontier and Axion Empire to assist in sieging the syetem. Together, they locked down the system for a week, systematically reinforcing and destroying every pos in system.

The siege of EC-P8R was a landmark in 0.0 politics. It signaled to all alliances that they were not safe alone, and marked the beginning of the formation of the large 0.0 power blocs.

Operation Goonicide

Operation Goonicide saw BOB drive Goonswarm from their home region. At the time, Goonswarm were a new alliance in New Eden who prided themselves on their obnoxious behaviour and use of numbers to counter their lack of experience and poor equipment. They had settled into a region just North of Delve after several sucessful wars in the East. Goonswar infuriated bob in and incident leading Operation Goonicide in which BOB resolved to remove Goonswarm from NewEden.

When BOB attacked, Goonswarm collapsed under their superior tactics and ships. BOB stripped their region bare. Goonswarm fell back to S-U where BOB camped them down until they crawled back East to find sanctuary.

The Pendulum Wars

The pendulum wars were a series of wars fought by BOB. They are marked by the use of the pendulum theme in the announcements of SirMolle. The wars culminated in the Great War in which the majority of 0.0 unsuccessfully tried to remove BOB from 0.0 space.

ASCN

In Operation Pendulum, also known as The ASCN War, BOB turned on Ascendant Frontier (ASCN). Located in the South, Ascendant Frontier was then the largest alliance in eve and a major industrial powerhouse. Notably, ASCN had constructed the first Titan in 0.0 space.

Ascendant Frontier rapidly collapsed. In the war, BOB destroyed ASCN's titan an Avatar class vessel piloted by Cyvoc, the leader of Ascendant Frontier. Within a few weeks the war was over.

RSF and the South

BOB along with its allies then continued to fight in the South against Red Swarm Federation (RSF), a coalition of aliances in the south an east including Red Alliance, Goonswarm, KIA and Tau Ceti Federation.

Initially, BOB forces pushed deep into RSF territory. At its furthest reach, BOB obtained soverignty in 9-980U and removed soverignty in XGH-SH in Tenerifis. With its supply lines streched the BOB advance stalled. Shrike of Evolution lost her Avatar class titan in 9-98OU when it was decloaked on a gate. RSF attacked BOB behind its lines. Unable to cope with being fought in multiple locations, the BOB forces were forced back.

Eventually SirMolle ordered an evacuation of the South to consolidate in Delve, Querious and Period Basis. A large number of towers were left behind in the withdrawal.

The Great War

The Great War was the largest war in the history of EVE with almost all alliances in 0.0 space taking part in hostilities. Almost all 0.0 entities outside the Greater BOB Community joined together in a coalition to drive BOB from 0.0 space. The coalition was initially composed of two main groups, from the North and from the South.

Not wanting to be on the loosing side, Mercenary Coalition, a long time ally of BOB, defected and formed Tortuga, a coalition with KIA and others. At the time, Mercenary Coalition had soverignty in Period Basis under BOB protection giving Tortuga a foothold next door to Delve.

Initially the GBC tried to fight the coalition on all fronts, but this proved too difficult. The BOB forces pulled back to Delve basing out of the Blood Raiders Station in PR-8CA and fought for every system in Delve.

The Coalition's attacks were halted in delve, with the members suffering heavy losses. In NOL-M9, Oort fromFile:Statecorplogo.png

The Creation

Statecorp was founded in 2004 by forumites from the now defunct State games forum/website/whine generator thanks largely to the positive response to a PC Gamer UK article called "All About EVE" by journalist, author and all round philanthropist Jim Rossignol.

The Next Bit

Statecorps' formative months were spent in the Great Wildlands region, where we've returned many times, fighting as part of the original Foundation group against the evil Keiretsu alliance.

The Statecorp Curse

Every alliance we join falls apart within months. Seriously.

How we became cursed

Well, basically, we blame Persh. Statecorp were part of The Forsaken Empire, having fun in Tribute fighting the evil ATUK corporation and their nasty friends. Then Persh goes and naps them, which quickly leads to internal squabbling and the subsequent destruction of FE alliance. We buggered off to Pure Blind.

Spreading the Curse

In Tribute we'd been a pretty disparate bunch, off doing our own thing for a lot of the time. In Pure Blind we learned to fight together as a corporation and formed the basis of the inimitable Statecorp combat style: sending some bugger through in a tanked Scorpion to get aggro so everyone else can claim the killmail glory.

We'd joined FREGE and were living in P-2 in ISS Borealis and rampaged up and down the pipe to low sec shooting at ASCN who were great sports and often died in large numbers just so we could learn proper PvP. Good times.

FREGE teamed up neighbours Ekliptika to form Sunstorm Dominion, but so awful as the name of that alliance that the Curse kicked in and within weeks we were back in FREGE shooting the SD guys, who quickly left to reform Ekliptika. We decided to move on as the politics were confusing us.

Catch us if you can

Or Statecorp: The Zoom Zoom Zoom years. As part of Huzzah we became famous for stomping over enemy gangs while the main allaince were still looking for X's. This was due to an early combination of forward scout alts and a rampaging lust for death, destruction and, erm, d-explosions. Statecorp mascot Go Maz coined our corp motto for us one day when he remarked "Statecorp are all zoom zoom zoom and we're all :'("

Inevitably the Curse started to weaken the alliance as first the nasty BoB alliance came to V2- to smack us around and then Evil Thug formed aAa in our faces. It wasn't fun.

You can never go home again

Well, actually, you can. Quite often. After Huzzah we joined Veritas Immortalis and returned to the Great Wildlands area. This was the period of the Southern Coalitions greatest strength, with Lotka Voltera riding high and -V-, KOS, CHIMP et al on their coat tails. Several Empire wars with the evil Red Alliance and the nasty Imperium followed and generally we all had jolly good fun taking turns to collect Xirtam killmails.

Our first weekend in -V- coincided with the last attack on CJ-, when coalition leaders decided "Nah, sod it, we'll leave them one system. After all, they're not going to do much with that." Hindsight is a bitch. We'd came in an cursed every alliance in the south.

The Wandering Years

We decided that we just plain didn't want to be in anyone elses alliance. They were all rubbish and they all wanted to do stuff with POS that just didn't interest us. So we formed our own. It was called, imaginatively, The State. It's dead now. We cursed it. But before it died we took it around the universe. In Fountain we totally owned WY-. Seriously, it was ours. Then we went to Syndicate and generally didn't have much fun as it's quite dull there. But after that we went back to Fountain and reclaimed WY-. Next move was Geminate were we spent a wonderful few months shooting miners and killing carriers in asteroid belts. Good times. Great times.

Best forgotten actually

We went back to -V-. Broken, beaten, living out of E02. It sucked.

Wow that's a lot of jump ins

We joined Insurgency, took some space, beat our chests on the forums and then got gang banged by the North. All of it. Glad that's over.

The Triumphant Return

Syndicate isn't that bad really.

The End

Statecorp closed it's doors in September 2009. Gone, but not forgotten. Read more about our adventures here lost his titan class ship when he attempted to doomsday GBC ships attacking a carrier at a gate. This weakened the resolve of Red Alliance who soon returned to their home regions where they threatened the space of the Northern Coalition.

With its resolve weakend by its heavy losses, and the departure of Red Alliance, the coalition faltered. The last alliance to leave was Goonswarm who continued to fight for several months, but were eventually evicted from Delve, and Querious. Next BOB turned on Tortuga in Period Basis.

Tortuga almost immediately suffered a complete collapse of morale. Many pilots ran from the onslaught, with many others being camped into their stations. Some Tortuga pilots comitted insurance fraud on a massive scale by undocking their ships only to be destroyed by waiting GBC ships.

Maximum Damage

After being thwarted in its attempts to conquer all of 0.0, BoB's strategy changed to the policy of maximum damage. This new philosophy was a departure from that of capturing and holsding space. It would see BOB attack a region inflicting the maximum possible damage before retreating.

The North

MAX started off on 2008.07.10 with 350 capitals, and 600 fleet ships from BoB and its GBC moving to the North.

BOB first targeted the Imperial Republic of the North and Red Alliance in Deklein and Pure Blind. The NC defenders soon collapsed.

BOB then moved to Obe in the Forge from where it attacked Morsus Mihi. The initial attacks were successful, but BOB and the GBC were soon halted when Morsus Mihi and the NC put up stout resistance in 15W.

The South

BoB then moved to the South without the GBC where it began attacking Goonswarm in Detroid with Against All Authorities attacking on another front. Initial progress was slowed by good tower timing by Goonswarm. Then progress was checked completely when Goonswarm hot dropped BoB dreadnaughts in a trap. BOB was unable to regain momentum when Goonswarms allies came to its aid by harassing BoB forces.
