Please note: System requirements can be found here.
Please note: Graphics cards with ShaderModel 3.0 support will become the minimum required graphics cards to run EVE Online at a yet-to-be-announced date in Q2 2011. more information can be found [here].

Since the Apocrypha expansion there is only one EVE Online client. Previously, both classic and premium versions were available; these are now combined into one client which will automatically degrade.

In general the minimum requirement for graphics cards is that your card be capable of making use of the shader model, version 2. This is a technology that allows for more complex graphical effects to be performed rapidly, and is used in EVE for a number of effects. Should your card not support version 2 or higher of the shader model you will not be able to run EVE.

Please note that some ATI Mobility cards have been known cause problems when trying to run EVE, for that visit your Notebooks manufacturers site and download the latest drivers. If those do not work use the latest available version of ATI's Catalyst drivers

If you are having problems and you are using a card that is supported by EVE, the problem is most likely related to your video card's drivers. The most likely solution would be to update the cards drivers.

You can find driver software for your graphics card at your manufacturer's website.
