Summary

Quite a number of pilots has a full block on convos, yet you read in their bio a request to send them eve mail instead. One reason might be, of course, that they do not want to be distracted when going into a fight, where the opponent might use convo spam to gain an advantage. But the other reason, addressed by this issue, is that they would join a conversation if the reason was right, but not just because the other party wants to talk. Avalloc's submission on the last meeting, to give an option to bring up the pilot info upon a convo invite, does point into the same direction.

Solution

Adding a "hail message" when shooting a convo invite to another pilot would give the addressee more information to decide whether or not to accept the invitation. This is complementing the suggestion to add a "show info" button on the chat invite window on the side of the addressee. The message would be displayed in the convo invite window and then, when the chat window opens, as an MOTD in the chat. It would also show as MOTD when the settings of the invitee lead to an immediate initiation of the chat.

The block level would then be threefold: allow all convos, show message first, block all. This would further allow the convo-spam block during fights.
