Strix Armaments and Defence (Player corporation)
Strix Armaments and Defence is a corporation whose members are staunchly dedicated to the defence of the Gallente Federation, its people and its democratic ideals. The corporation was founded by Marcel Bigeard and is now headed by Valda Valadas. Its headquarters used to be in Auvergne but are now in Eglennaert.
The corporation used to be involved in an effort to stimulate the development of the Solitude region. It had to deal there with widespread piracy. Relocating later to the main high-sec Federation constellations, it took part in wars against proponents of slavery such as PIE, Inc., Aegis Militia and Vigilia Valeria, alongside the Electus Matari alliance.
In 110, the corporation declared war on the Suddenly Ninjas corporation of salvage thieves. With the advent of the Empyrean Age, it became part of the Federal Defence Union militia. It is currently involved in operations in Essence, Placid and Black Rise against the State Protectorate and the encroaching pirates.
