Typo in the Emancipation section ("would would" instead of "who would"). Tyrion Moath 10:38, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

Spoilers/Information 'not availlable to public' in-world?

There are references to Psychic Jamyl and her 'personal thoughts' at points in this article. If the article Earth is anything to go by, I suspect these shouldn't be present. 'Spoilers' like this only encourage godmodding in RP circles and should really be denoted/removed. --Milo Caman 12:37, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Actually a wiki should be in the style of a "Omniscient narrator"... CCP Abraxas had already said, he doesnt want a IC or RP Portal... see here ... That means for us players, to be adults, or at least act like we are over eighteen. And actually nothing changes.. Meaning it is like before.... we have the Chrones, the Novels etc.... all good information, we have to be mature about it. Hopefuly it will happen :P --JR 12:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Fair enough. I'd still argue this page needs some love though. Statements like 'However, she wished Marcus had been able to witness the aftermath of the incident.' and the Marcus don't really have any place on a wiki. --Milo Caman 13:00, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Fair enough. I'd still argue this page needs some love though. Agree and yes some stuff are to much (ehm.. and I leave it by that, because Abraxes has most likely a long ...long list of stuff to do) :P --JR 13:03, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm the one that wrote the Jamyl article originally. I'm not sure what you mean about the phrase and Marcus not having a place on the Wiki. The Marcus article obviously needs to be expanded; I think he's a character from the Empyrean Age, but my memory is hazy at the moment. More explanation than simple "needs some love" would be very helpful. It would point us in the right direction of what the players want. --ISD Caleb Kang 05

Fair enough, I'll bite:

"Though Empress Jamyl's connection to the Seyllin Incident is not entirely clear, she was confident Sansha's Nation would not blame the Empire for the incident. However, she wished Marcus had been able to witness the aftermath of the incident. At her order, the Empire offered aid to the Federation to recover from the disaster."

The line about Marcus seems entirely out of place in the context of the paragraph, at least. However is typically used to introduce a statement that contrasts with or seems to contradict something that has been said previously. Perhaps it just needs expanding on here, like you noted, but it isn't really linked to the previous statement at all.

Also minor nitpick, but you might want to change the second incident to disaster to avoid using the same word twice in short succession. Not sure what the proper term is for that. --Milo Caman 11:11, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Good points on the Seyllin section. I've edited it accordingly.

As for IC/spoiler stuff, JR covered it already, but just to confirm: The wiki narrators are omnipresent. We sometimes call them omnicient, though that's a misnomer since we don't presume to read characters' minds. The Earth article you referenced is a special case and had to be written in a tone slightly more IC than most everything else, since it's one of the few subjects that has a direct connection to the "real world", as it were.--CCP Abraxas 12:48, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Please reword Khanid Reconciliation section to:

"Following the Kingdom's capture of Karsoth, Khanid II made a historic visit to the Imperial capital of Dam-Torsad and met personally with Jamyl. Calling the Heirs to the meeting, Jamyl revealed her intention. The news further drove a wedge between the Empress and Yonis Ardishapur, who departed in haste.

After several days of private talks, it was announced that the Khanid Family would be granted a Privy Council seat, giving the kingdom a voice opportunity. The Kingdom itself, however, would remain an independent nation. The move reconciliation the two sides after centuries of schism, continuing Jamyl's policy of strengthening the Empire's ties with its allies."

Reasons:

Same old, same old. First the old news does not mention a reunification, which this one does. Second, as mention times and times again, on other pages is the term "reunited" also not mention on the EVElopedia. Third, as already mention in other places, it is mind boggling stupid.... etc... etc.... Im to lazy even to joke or look down on CCP, as well as to add further links for more explanations. :-)
