The entry gate should allow any ship that is battlecruiser sized or smaller.

Room 1

On warp-in, there is a Pithum Communications officer and frigate, destroyer, and cruiser support. Some cruisers and frigates use ECM.

After attacking the Pithum Communications officer, another wave and officer will appear

"The Pithum Communications officer has called on reinforcements to save his own hide!"

After attacking the second Pithum Communications officer, another wave and officer will appear.

After attacking the third Pithum Commuications officer, another wave will appear, this time with the Pithum Militant Commander and henchmen among them.

"The Overseer will have us all made into biomass burgers for the Sansha if we don't keep those intruders from the weapon's manufacturing plant! Get them!"

Killing him unlocks the gate to Room 2.

"The destruction of the Militant Commander has activated a mechanism inside the nearby acceleration gate. It now appears to be unlocked."

Room 2

Room contains a small fleet of cruisers and frigates.

"Ship Computer: The enemy Long-Range Transmitters have begun sending out distress signals. Hostile reinforcements may be imminent."

"A number of Pith ships have answered the distress signals sent by the Pith Transmitter!"

"Pith Industrialist: Defend the manufacturing plant at all costs!"

Attacking the weapon's manufacturing plant spawns a reinforcement wave with an overseer and henchmen.

"Pithatis Militant Overseer: Incompetent mongrels. Must I do everything myself around here?"

Killing the overseer may trigger an escalation. A Dread Guristas faction frigate may spawn as well (possible T2 implant, Dread loot or worm blueprint; usually only tags, ammo and T1/named loot).

Escalation - Terrorist Plot - Part 1a

"All through the battle, one of the Gurista cruisers was engaged in intense and thoroughly encrypted commmunications with some other ship in another system. Even though you didn't understand a thing of what was being said, your scanners successfully managed to locate the other party."

This room contains about 4 battlecruisers, 5-6 elite frigates, and a Dread Guristas frigate. There is also an acceleration gate. Killing the Dread Guristas frigate can trigger a further escalation.

Escalation - Terrorist Plot - Part 1b

Room will contain several broken crystal asteroids and a single Viral Stash floating container. Upon approaching the container, minor area of effect damage will be activated.

"Someone has approached the Viral Stash too closely, triggering an explosion from a hidden trap nearby!"

After looking in the container and finding some data sheets and viral agents...

"In this container you find stacks of barrels containing viral agent, as well as a list of ship ID's, barrel ID's and times. Most of the times have passed, but the very last one is only a couple of minutes from now, perhaps if you intercept this ship that is supposedly arriving, you may find out more."

Wait 2-3 minutes and the Guristas Relay Officer (Elite cruiser, overseer) will appear.

"Guristas Relay Officer: Who are you!? I wasn't told of anyone guarding our Viral Stash. If you don't give me identification codes immediately, I'll have to assume you're a looter."

Killing him can trigger a further escalation.

Escalation - Terrorist Plot - Part 2

"Searching the ship's database you find plans where the Guristas, under contract from an unnamed party, are supposed to spread the viral agent in the atmosphere of two planets in Caldari space. No information is given as to which planets they are, but you do see the rally points the Guristas were supposed to use. The container log listed at least 15 ships, this might get hairy if they all show up."

The initial welcoming party consists of some battlecruisers, cruisers, elite frigates, a stasis drone and an elite stasis drone. Some of the cruisers and frigates use ECM. Killing the regular stasis drone will trigger another wave of ships. You must kill the elite stais drone to trigger the Pith Relay Commander (Dread Guristas Frigate) and support ships to spawn.

Killing the Pith Relay Commander can trigger a further escalation.

Escalation - Terrorist Plot - Part 3

"Scanning through the remains of the leading ship, you find no further information on which planets were supposed to be terrorised, but you do find a location where there is scheduled a meeting with whoever contracted this operation. "

You warp into about 3 elite frigates, 4 battlecruisers, 2-3 cruisers and a Dread Guristas destroyer.

Killing the Dread Guristas Destroyer can trigger a further (and final) escalation.

Escalation - Terrorist Plot - Part 4

This last part will be in low sec. An unprobable Tech 3 will handle the job easily.

"You are not sure, but it seemed like the ship that slipped away had the markings of the dreaded Federal Intelligence Organization, a Gallente covert-op branch. If this is true, it bodes no good for the Caldari state, nor does it for the Gallenteans come to think of it. Action like this viral terror attack would probably be taken as a full-scale war declaration, not that the peace has been so convincing lately between the two. Whatever is to be made of it, it seems like your instruments got a lock on the agents jump as he cleared local space and the approximate destination is already flashing on your navigation panel. You are not sure if it is a good idea to follow it though, crashing uninvited into a FIO base could be more than you can handle. Either way, you probably only have mere minutes to get there in time."

You warp into a room with an FIO control tower and a sizable Federation fleet. Composition is roughly the following:

3x Elite Federation Calo/Bearcus (cruisers, sensor dampeners) 6x Federation Calo/Praeco (battlecruisers) 5x Federation Arcus/Matar (destroyers) 2x Gallente Tower Sentry

You do not need to kill any ships. However killing them will not cause any faction standing drop.

Engaging the tower will prompt reinforcement, including the target ship.

"More FIO ships undock from nearby bunkers to defend their base, along with an envoy ship from the Guristas!"

The envoy ship from the Guristas is a Dread Guristas destroyer. This ship has a chance to drop Pithi A-type modules and a Worm blueprint.

A final message will mark the completion of the expedition.

"Thankfully this was only a minor hideout and not fully manned either it seems. If the plot to corrupt the atmosphere of those Caldari planets and thereby escalating the hostilities in the region was hatched here, it has been effectively stopped. Which is of course very likely ..."
