Basic Information for all mining drones

Mining Drones are small automated mining machines. Once given an astroid to mine, these drones will mine the astroid for a minute, bring the ore to the ship commanding them and go back to mining the astroid. Under normal circumstances, drones will continue mining until an astroid is gone.

The amount a drone user will get per drone per time depends on the standard amount mined, boosted by any skills or equipments, and the flighttime between the commanding ship and the astroid mined.

Basic skills: To use mining drones, one must have the following skills:

• Mining Drone Operation lvl 1
• Drones lvl 1
• Mining lvl 2

It should be noted that the amount of mining drones one can operate is only dependent on the skill Drones.

The standard amount mined:

This is given as "amount mined" in at the drone details. Please note that the capacity of the drone should be ignored, it has no effect on the mining amount, cycle time or anything else.

Flighttime:

This depends on the distance between the mined astroid and the commanding ship and the flightspeed of the drone. After ending its mining cycle (one minute of mining), the drone has to move to a transfer range of 1500 meters from the commanding ship to transfer its ores. The further a ship is away from an astroid, the more time is lost in travel.

The total amount mined by drones per cycle can be increased by:

Skills:

• Mining Drone Operation (+5% per level)
• Drone Interfacing (+20% per level)

Rigs:

• Drone Mining Augmentor I (+10%)
• Drone Mining Augmentor II (+15%)

Fleetboosting:

There are currently no fleetboosting effects that increase the yield of mining drones.
