Fullerenes are a type of Harvestable Gas Cloud found in Wormhole Space which are used in the production of Tech 3 Ships. Fullerenes are first reacted into Polymers, which are then used to manufacture Tech 3 components, and then combined into Tech 3 Hulls and Subsystems.

Reacting Fullerenes into Polymers

Several starbase structures are needed to react Fullerenes into Polymers:

  • Silo - to store input mineral used in reaction
  • Gas Silo - 2 of these for storing each input fullerene
  • Hybrid Polymer Silo - to store output polymer
  • Hybrid Polymer Reactor - for reacting input materials into polymers

In addition a reaction blueprint is needed for running the reactor. These are sold on the market in Empire systems. The types of reactions possible are:
