The Mito Conflict[1], named for the constellation in which it occurred, was a war between a number of Caldari loyalist organizations, led by the now-defunct Kimotoro Directive, and several pirate and anarchist organizations, though most fighting against the Caldari loyalists was done by The Star Fraction.
The conflict lasted from August 108 through December 108. Much of the fighting had died down by the end of November, as the Kimotoro Directive was effectively reduced to a handful of active pilots when the Caldari Independent Navy Reserve left the alliance on 17 November[2] and most of the Directive's other allies withdrew in the weeks after.
This was one of a series of wars by The Star Fraction against loyalist forces in most of the major nations of the cluster, as well as the beginning of the Caldari Independent Navy Reserve's shift to a more aggressive, disciplined force in the years since.
