Cosmic Anomalies are a part of the Exploration feature in eve online virtually accessible to any player.
What is a Cosmic Anomaly?
A cosmic anomaly is just as an Cosmic Signature a hidden site with NPC Pirates in it. The difference between Signatures and Anomalies do not appear in a Deadspace. These sites are found without any extra equipment by using the On-Board Scanner located in any ship except a capsule although it is possible to scan down the Anomaly with probes as well. Therefore Cosmic Anomalies are not as hard as they're Cosmic Signatures counterparts but still can give substantial rewards although this chance is reduced, they are known to spawn faction commanders or Escalate
How can I find a Cosmic Anomaly?
Cosmic Anomalies are found through using the On-Board Scanner at any planet in any solar system. By scanning with the On-Board Scanner your ship will tell you if there is a Anomaly near that planet. Note that Anomalies on appear at planets. A second easier way is to deploy a Multispectral Frequency Probe and scan the system for cosmic anomalies and after that scanning each planet independently with the On-Board Scanner or by scanning it down with probes using the [Exploration|Exploration]] mechanics.
