Unexplained Phenomena
While hauling ore for a belt miner (Hulk tank-fit and loaded with T2 drones to swat rats with), we had a hauler spawn in our belt. Most of the ships went down easily, but one of the haulers was apparently equipped with some technology neither of us had ever seen before. Whenever the enemy hauler was attacked by anything, it would disappear in a yellow flash, and reappear 50km away in a random direction elsewhere on the grid. It was not a cloak of any sort; the disappearance and reappearance was instantaneous, making it move at speeds that would leave the drones in the dust every time. It took nearly half an hour of playing drone-tag with it before we finally took it down, and found only 250k units of tritanium onboard. The strangest thing is how useless this new technology would have been if either of our ships had been equipped with a turret of any kind. --Tatterdemalian 23:18, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'm guessing that was some sort of bug ... doesn't sound like it would have been designed to do that! --Sazuka Kirr 23:31, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
