Virtual Life Vanguard is a (mildly) roleplaying corporation in the EVE universe. The title of this corporation describes its mission: to be a vanguard, preparing its members for a virtual life in cyberspace.
History
Virtual Life Vanguard (-VIV-) is lead since late 2007 by Preatorian Warrior (PW) as its CEO. VIV was created on April 21st 2006 by Juwi Kotch in Empire, and evolved since then under the leadership of first Juwi Kotch, his successor Preatorian Warrior, and a Council of senior members to a corporation with over 200 pilots in 0.0 space. Juwi Kotch is still a member of VIV and acts as an advisor to the CEO and honorable member of the Council after he voluntarily retired from his position of CEO.
What we do
VIV is mainly a industrial oriented corporation, but being based in 0.0 space demands strong military capabilities which is represented by a conscript system for all pilots in times of war, and a strong arm of professional fighter pilots including a capital ship fleet.
The community of the corporation is characterized by the maturity of its pilots, which are of an higher average age than the overall EVE population. Besides the ingame part of being a pilot of VIV, strong emphasis is put on out of game activities and communication over an corporation board with more then 10.000 postings per year. A voluminous homepage describes the corporation to interested EVE pilots and acts an information repository and structural element to the members of the corporation. An outstanding feature of the corporation as shown on its homepage is a massive rank structure and award system.
