The module needed when salvaging wrecks.
Note that in order to salvage some wrecks, having just a salvager and level 1 in the skill salvaging will not be enough. Wrecks of T2 ships is an example, you will need at least level 3 or have a message telling you it is too difficult. It is the same with some special types of NPCs as overseers or officers.
