A Corporation (Corp for short) is a formal group of POD pilots in Eve that work together for a common purpose.
This could be either Mission Running, Mining, PVP, Trading, PoS's or Even as of new, Banking and Stock Brokers.

The main benefits of joining a corporation, would be the mutual protection that each person gives to its members. The main reason a group of people may want to join a certain corp, could be because there reside in a certain area, they take part in certain aspects of the game.
