Bombs, though extremely expensive, can deal battleship shattering blows, if launched correctly.
Types of bombs
There are three types of bombs, damage bombs, ECM bombs and capacitor draining bombs. Of the damage bombs there are four subtypes, one for each damage type. Each damage type bomb deals a single type of damage and is highly resist to its own damage type.
Usage
When launched a bomb flies for 10 seconds with the velocity 3000m/s (30km), then it detonates. A bomb explosion causes huge amounts of damage in a 15km radius sphere.
When used in bomber squads, the same damage type of bomb is used. The bombs have a 99.5% resistance to their own damage type. This means that if one of the bombs launched is of a different type than the others, it could possible destroy the other bombs before they explode. it's recommended to use no more than 7 bombs at a time, more than that and the damage done will destroy any additional bombs.
Properly deployed bombs can take out entire squadrons of ships. Stealth Bombers are primarily the only ship type that use bombs. A typical bomb run would be pretty much: Align towards the target while cloaked, get about 30km from target, uncloak, fire bomb, warp away and reload, cloak, warp back to reset for next bomb run.
