The Caldari control tower has carved out a niche for itself in high security space where it is a nearly ubiquitous sight around planetary moons. This is due to its extremely high CPU space, a primary concern for industrialists and scientists looking to fit mobile laboratories and arrays instead of hardeners and weapons. Its high CPU, high shield design also gives it a unique edge in high security combat by allowing it to essentially bore opponents off the battlefield with masses of electronic countermeasures, to which it receives a helpful bonus. Unfortunately these same features make the tower dubiously useful at best in low security environments. Without power grid it cannot fit the weapons systems necessary to defend itself, and capital ships will quickly leverage their Ewar immunity against CPU based defenses to devastating effect. This is only compounded by the fact that missile batteries stop firing once a tower is reinforced, making the tower's bonuses all but useless in large fleet situations. Still, if a high security space industrial base is what you need, this tower will deliver admirably.
